Clare Stringer

Horses – Bandolero, Kitty Way and Indian Star II

Clare Stringer is an amateur event rider who competes in eventing for fun and the love of the sport, she owns three horses, two of which are currently being competed in British Eventing competitions and the third is being introduced to work at the end of 2011 following a bout of colic.

Clare manages to balance a busy life of full time work as a Postman for Royal Mail with riding, competing and caring for her horses. She is excellent at promoting her sponsors and with support and encouragement could go to the highest levels of eventing. You can read a lot more about Clare and her event team on her website Team BSF Eventing.

In November 2011 Clare was unveiled as the Shearwater Insurance Scholar for 2012, which means she will receive £500 towards training and Shearwater branded clothing and equipment. At the end of the 2011 season Clare moved her event horses to Kenneth Clawson's yard, where she is able to utilise high class, professional facilities.

Bandolero (Bandi) is Clare’s number one event horse at the moment and they successfully progressed from BE90 to Novice level in the 2011 season. They have also achieved their main aim for this season which was to gain qualification for a CIC* event. Clare describes Bandi as “the 'top dog' in her team… He has an attitude to die for and as you can imagine, after nearly 5 years together, we know each other inside out.”
