Harriet Upton
Harriet Upton is a young event rider based in West Sussex who's ultimate aim is to compete for Great Britain at an Olympic Games. At the age of 16 Harriet has already competed in three 1* events including Le Pin Au Haras in France in 2011 where she was part of a squad of British Junior Riders and she placed 17th overall and was the 4th highest junior.

Harriet is a member of the British Eventing U18 Programme and she is a member of the Crawley and Horsham Pony Club. Harriet is currently trained and mentored by a number of internationally recognised riders including British Olympic rider Tina Cook, Ken Spencer, Gill Watson, Melanie Breen and Fiona Bigwood.
Harriet took the brave decision to finish school after her GCSE’s in 2012 and at the age of 16 she has already moved into the horse world on a full time basis. To help her on her way she is currently working part time for Fiona Bigwood and Anders Dahl, one of the world’s most successful dressage partnerships. They both compete on an international level for their respective countries, Great Britain and Denmark.

Harriet competed in over 20 British Eventing horse trials in 2012 on 6 different horses and this was despite a number of events being cancelled due to wet weather. In 2013 Harriet will again be competing a string of horses including two new young horses and a very experienced one which competed at the London 2012 Olympics.
