Plans for 2012 season

09th February 2012
February means that the start of the eventing season and for me the photography season is only a month away. This is good news for me as I have been itching to get out on the XC course again and get some great action shots.

Over the last month or two I have been to a couple of hunts with the Kimblewick with whom my Dad is a subscriber. I have decided that for the 2012/13 hunting season I will try to get out most Saturdays as I forgot how friendly everyone is and how much fun you can have even following on foot.

As the season is only a few weeks away I have been planning which events I am going to be attending on my own and which I will be work at for Ultimate Images. The first event I am aiming to go to will be Tweseldown on the second weekend in March where my newest supported rider Harriet Upton will be riding two of her horses. Whether I make both days is undecided at the moment but I am really looking forward to getting my first pictures of Harriet in action.

As I said above I will be working with Ultimate Images again in 2012 and here is the list of events that I have planned to be attending in the infamous orange uniform:

- 25th March – RAF Halton Sponsored Ride
- 20th to 22nd April – Hambleden International Horse Trials
- 4th & 5th June – Milton Keynes Three Day Event
- 16th & 17th June – Berkshire College Horse Trials
- 29th June to 1st July – Barbury International Horse Trials
- 18th & 19th August – Burnham Beeches Horse Trials
- 15th & 16th September – Milton Keynes Three Day Event
- 25th & 26th September – Berkshire College Horse Trials
- 30th September – Silver Fox Hunt Challenge
- 7th October – South Oxfordshire Sponsored Ride

Of course these dates are subject to change but if you find yourself at any of these events make sure you keep an eye out for the photographers dressed in orange and please say hello as it can get a bit lonely in the field on your own for 8hrs!

I hope everyone is coping with the current weather conditions and don’t forget to think of me if your looking for some quality equine pictures. I offer photo shoots at both competitions and at your yard plus I can also travel to XC / SJ schooling days which offer a great chance to get pictures. Please get in touch to discuss what ideas you have, with no obligation to take up a booking!

I look forward to seeing you out on the eventing field soon!
